A person was killed Thursday with a raid on southern Lebanon, targeting, according to the Israeli army, the leader of the artillery in the Sahel sector of Hezbollah, pointing out that in recent months he tried to rebuild artillery capabilities in the region.
Since November, a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon has been in force after a dispute that spanned more than a year between Israel and Hezbollah, which has turned into an open confrontation as of September. Later, the Israeli army announced “the elimination of Muhammad Jamal Murad, the Hezbollah’s artillery commander in the Sahel sector,” noting that his activities “posed a threat to the security of the State of Israel and its citizens.”
Mourad, according to the statement, was “responsible for many missile launch operations towards the State of Israel during the war, and in recent months he tried to rebuild artillery capabilities in the coastal region.”
This raid came after the announcement of the Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adrai in a publication on “X” on Wednesday about the implementation of Israeli forces “special and focused operations with a goal (…) preventing Hezbollah’s re -position in the region.”
Three people were killed on Tuesday and 13 others were wounded by an Israeli raid targeting a car in northern Lebanon, while the Israeli army said it had eliminated an element in the Palestinian Hamas movement.
A person was also killed on Tuesday evening with an Israeli raid targeting a car in southern Lebanon, according to the Ministry of Health, while the Israeli army announced that it had eliminated “Hussein Ali Mazhar, the fire administration official in the Al -Zahrani sector.”
Israel repeated that it will continue to work to “remove any threat” against it, and will not allow the party to rehabilitate its military structure. She promised to continue launching strikes unless the authorities removed Hezbollah.

“These are limited and few events, and are dealt with and surrounded,” said Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, during his reception of the ambassadors of the European Union in Lebanon, commenting on the repetition of these skirmishes.
