Cullman’sโ Jubilee Kitchen and Bar to Host Singo Bingo Fundraiser for โWallace State Singers
CULLMAN,Ala. – Jubilee Kitchen and Bar will โฃhost โฃa Singoโฃ Bingo night on Nov. 18 at 6 p.m.to benefit the Wallace State โขSingers’ upcoming performance trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
The Wallace โฃStateโข Singers, known for their annual Christmas caroling throughout Alabama, are raising funds to โperform at theโค country Tonite Theater. The opportunity โwill โallow students to experienceโข a professional performance environment and potentially open doors for future employment.
“This gives the kids a chance to see what a professional career in performance โis like,” said Wallace โState Dance Captain Emily Sharp. “Our directors at Wallace State do everything โคthey can to set us up โขfor the best success. Physically going and seeing it for yourself opens so manyโฃ doors and can โput your name on the map for โfuture employersโข to hire you.”
The fundraiser was conceivedโ by Sharp and Vocal โCaptain Yvonne Wakaimba, who regularlyโ work events at Jubilee. they approached ownerโ Katie Fine with the idea to combine Singo Bingo with a fundraisingโค effort.
“I started doing Singo Bingo events at Jubilee and yvonne would work thes events as well,” Sharp explained. “We wereโ talking oneโค day and it just clicked that we should โขcombine the two ideas.”
In addition to theโ Singo Bingo game, Jubileeโ will donate $5 from every holiday flight purchased to the wallace state Singers’ โtrip fund. Additional donations and bingo card purchases will also be โฃaccepted.
“We all have outside classes and our regular rehearsals, but โweโ held extra rehearsals to be able prepared for this event,” Wakaimba added.
