Jeremy Renner made a surprise visit to the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, on Monday, expressing gratitude to the staff who aided his recovery from a near-fatal snowplow accident.
The “Hawkeye” star, who sustained over 30 broken bones after being crushed by a snowplow on New Year’s Day, shared photos of his visit on Instagram, appearing in good spirits in front of a screen displaying “Welcome back!” adn alongside medical personnel. The visit underscores the profound impact of the care he received and highlights the ongoing support systems crucial for recovery from severe trauma. Renner’s public acknowledgment of the medical team offers a message of hope and appreciation, while his return to a public-facing role signals continued progress in his rehabilitation.
Renner broke eight ribs, an eye socket, a knee, and a shoulder in the January incident, and also suffered a pierced liver and a collapsed lung while attempting to clear snow for a relative near his Nevada home.
Last week, Renner made his first red carpet appearance since the accident, attending the premiere of his Disney+ series, “Rennervations.” The show features Renner and his team refurbishing service vehicles to benefit communities and children in need.
Currently, three episodes of “Rennervations” are streaming, with a fourth episode, filmed in India, scheduled for release soon.
