The cost of getting Putin to win is greater – Martin Wolff

Ukraine has survived an onslaught of brutal enemies. He put the Russian military to shame and regained a good deal of its stolen territory. These results are extraordinary results.

But the war is not over yet.

On October 10, the war entered a new phase as Russia undertook the destruction of civilian infrastructure.

Russia’s goal now is to demoralize the Ukrainian people. This attempt must also fail.

Ukraine dispels concerns about corruption

At stake are the principles of life in post-World War II Europe. The principle is that borders cannot be forcibly changed and that citizens should not be prevented from choosing their own rulers.

Furthermore, if Russia were to win, the land under the reclaimer’s tyrant would border Eastern Europe.

But if Ukraine wins, it will be a powerful bulwark against Russia.

In short, this war is an existential war not only for Ukraine, but also for Europe.

The West must ensure that Ukraine survives and thrives as a thriving democracy.

This is not only morally necessary, but also in the interests of the West.

Bribery and bribery have long been a concern in Ukraine. But the way the Ukrainian government has mobilized for the fight suggests that this is no longer the case.

A country invaded by corrupt oligarchs will not unite and fight like this country.

Ukraine deserves to apply the principle of impunity in case of doubt. The country has been remade by war. There is no doubt that it will be rebuilt in peace.

It has been nine months since the Russian invasion. During this period, Kharkiv-Izyum and Kherson were retaken by Ukrainian forces.

In the east, Russian forces repeatedly attacked valiantly, but were defeated by Ukrainian forces.

In the south, artillery fire from both sides continues, but Ukrainian forces are preparing for an offensive and Russian forces are building defensive trenches.

Looking at the losses of the Russian army during this period (announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), the periods of high losses differed depending on the type of weapon.

Basically, the number was the highest at the beginning of the invasion, but then it decreased and some increased after 7 months. There is also a similar trend in troop losses.

This increase or decrease is mainly due to the change in the aspect of the battle.

By classifying the loss of tanks, armored vehicles, artillery, etc. of ground forces and the loss of personnel, we consider the changes and reasons for losses, the possibility of sufficiency and the prediction of future battles.
