The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) admitted that they were open to the option of leaving Ann Baswedan because the deadline given to seek a ticket to advance in the Jakarta gubernatorial election has expired. Answering that, PDIP now admits that communication with Anies Baswedan.

This was expressed by PDIP spokesperson Chico Hakim. He first said that PDIP was still communicating with all political parties. But, according to him, now his party is also starting to establish contact with Anies Baswedan.

“Until today, of course we have not had any definitive political cooperation, but since then we have continued to communicate with all political parties. While we were initially in contact with PKB, we also had contact with Mas Anies,” said Chico when contacted, Thursday (8/8/2024).

Chico then explained PDIP’s intention to establish dialogue with him Ann Baswedan. He said his party did not want any pairs of candidates to fight against empty boxes in Jakarta.

“Of course this could also be an option and we hope that there will be no candidate pairs for Jakarta fighting against empty boxes, moreover, these candidate pairs are candidates who are not in the the results of the final survey of the top candidates. or secondly, if we look at the order “one and two are Pak Anies and Pak Ahok, then a little further behind is Ridwan Kamil,” he said.

For this reason, he said that PDIP would make efforts so that people who were in the main positions in various studies could fight in the Jakarta Pilkada. “Our hope is indeed the same as the hope of the public, which can be seen in the results of the survey, that the numbers living in the main positions in the survey can fight to fight for their views itself and allow people to choose so that democracy can. run healthy,” he said.

In addition, Chico also revealed that PDIP has not yet officially decided who will compete in the Jakarta Pilkada. However, according to him, so far several names have started to emerge, namely the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok, the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Djarot Syaiful Hidayat, a PDIP cadre who is also the Chief of TNI Andika Perkasa . , Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, PDIP official Rano Karno, Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, to the head of PDIP Charles Honoris.

“For Jakarta, as of today, we have not yet made a definitive decision on who we will appoint, but we are working so that we can appoint our staff as a deputy governor or deputy governor there the DKI Jakarta,” he explained.

However, PKS gave an indication that its workers will have to run for the Jakarta gubernatorial election if they join KIM. “In the two options above, PKS wants their cadres to compete either as cagub or cawagub. God willing,” he said.
