Jagiellonia Białystok Adds Spanish Midfielder Sergio Lozano to Roster
BIAŁYSTOK, Poland – Jagiellonia Białystok has completed the signing of Spanish midfielder Sergio lozano, the club announced today. The 26-year-old arrives as the transfer window nears its close, providing a boost to the Polish side’s squad ahead of their UEFA Conference League campaign.
Lozano joins Jagiellonia from spanish la Liga side Levante, where he played a key role in their promotion to the top flight last season. He featured in 40 matches for Levante during their promotion-winning campaign,contributing three assists,primarily from a substitute role.
Lozano’s rise Through Spanish Football
Prior to his promotion with Levante, Lozano accumulated over 1,000 league minutes in the previous season, showcasing a more critically important offensive impact with one goal and eight assists. He made his La Liga debut coming on as a substitute in the 11th minute of Levante’s inaugural match against Alaves. He afterward featured on the bench against Barcelona and Elche before agreeing to terminate his contract with Levante on Tuesday to pursue opportunities in Poland.
The midfielder has signed a contract with Jagiellonia Białystok that runs until June 2027,with the option for a further 12-month extension.This commitment signals the club’s confidence in Lozano’s potential contribution.
Lozano will reunite with familiar faces in Białystok, including former Levante teammate Alexa Cantero, as well as fellow Spaniards Jesus Imaz, Alex Pozo, and Miki Villar. This existing Spanish contingent within the Jagiellonia squad is expected to aid Lozano’s integration into the team and the Polish league.
