Seven Athletes elected to IWGA โAthlete Commitee
LAUSANNE, Switzerland – Theโ International World Games Association โ(IWGA) today announced the election โof seven athletes to its Athlete Committee, representing โขa diverse range of sports and nations. The newlyโค elected committee members will serve aโ termโ from 2025 toโฃ 2029, with theโค elected Chair also joining โฃtheโ IWGA Executive Committee.
The elected athletesโ are:
Andrea Busa (HUN) โ-โ Kickboxing
โฃYves Martial โTadissiโข (HUN)โฃ – Karate
Max Poschart (GER) – Underwater Sports
Sara Al-Zayed (JOR) – Ju-Jitsu
โ daniele Scardoni (ITA) – โArchery
Calum millward (GBR) – Canoeโฃ Polo
* Noemi Ferencz (HUN) – Orienteering
These seven were chosen โfrom a pool of 20 candidates nominated โคby their respective International Federations. The IWGA stated the election ensures a diverse and experienced committee capable of representing athlete interests across its member sports.
According to โthe IWGA โขConstitution, the President may appointโ up to two additional members โขby October 2025 to โfurther balance โคdepiction in terms ofโ gender, sport, and geographical diversity.Theโค first โmeeting of the new โคAthletes Committee will be held to elect โa โChair, who will thenโ serve on the IWGA Executive Committee for the duration of the term.
