American French Film Festival in L.A. Unveils 2025 Lineup, Spotlighting โฃNew French Cinema & Series
Los Angeles, CA – The American French Film Festival (TAFFF) โtoday announced its 2025 lineup, showcasingโ a diverse โคselection of French films adn television series poised to โcaptivate American โaudiences.The festival,a key โคplatform for promoting Frenchโ productions in the United States,will feature premieresโฃ and screenings of both established and emerging filmmakers.
Now โin its nearly threeโค decades, TAFFF has become a vital bridge between the French and American film industries. The 2025 edition will include films such as Drifting Laurent by Couture and Mattรฉo Eustachon, โขLรฉonorโข Seraille’s Ari, Louise Hรฉmon’s The Girl In The Snow, and Quentinโข dupieux’s The Piano accident. Ten new dramaโ series will also be presented, including Jessica pallud’sโฃ action-adventure The Seduction,โข Jean-Stรฉpane Bron’s political thriller The Deal โค(co-written with Alice Wincour), and Cรฉdric Anger’s thriller The Hunt โ for Gaumont and Apple TV+.
The festival will also screen six documentaries, including Guillaumeโ Ribot’s All I Had Was Nothing, offeringโ a behind-the-scenes lookโข at Claude Lanzmann’s Shoah, and Sepideh Farsi’s Put โฃYour Soul โฃOn Your Hand and Walk, created โfrom video-calls with a photojournalist in Gaza.
TAFFF audiences will haveโค the opportunity toโ vote for their โคfavorites in โcinema, television, and Shorts categories. The Los Angeles Filmโ Critics Association (LAFCA) will partner with โthe festival for the 16th โคyear, awarding a Critics’ Award and a first feature award in the cinema โcategory, while a professionalโข jury will determine the โbest Series Award.
Winners will be announced โขon November 4 and honored at a โขceremony in โParis on November 12.
The American French Film Festival is a joint initiative โof the Directors Guild of America โ(DGA), the Motion Picture Association (MPA), France’s Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers of Music (SACEM), โฃand the Writersโค guild of America West (WGAW).It is indeed presented in association with CNC – Centre National du Cinรฉma et de โขl’Image Animรฉe, with support from โVilla โAlbertine, The Consulate General ofโฃ France in Los Angeles, and โขUnifrance.
