PTI Vows Legal Fight for Imran Khan’s Release, Rejects Deals
In a resolute stand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has declared it will seek the release of party founder Imran Khan solely through the judicial system. This decision follows mounting speculation, and underscores the party’s commitment to constitutional principles.
Legal Path Forward
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the PTI chairman, has unequivocally stated that the party will pursue all avenues for Imran Khan’s release through the courts. He emphasized adherence to the constitution and the law, dismissing any possibility of a deal. “Imran Khan himself has always maintained that he will not enter into any deal,” Khan stated.
Khan also mentioned that the PTI has not sought assistance from any foreign entity for Imran Khan’s release, stating that they are not counting on foreign intervention.
Regarding foreign relations, the PTI chairman mentioned that a party delegation had visited the Iranian embassy to express solidarity.
Statements of Support
Barrister Gohar also stated that PTI strongly condemned Israel’s aggression and reaffirmed Pakistanโs support for Iran during this difficult time.
