Colorado Woman’s Cookbook Garners Support from Renowned Chefs
DENVER, CO – November 27, 2025 – A Colorado woman’s passion project, a cookbook celebrating accessible and nourishing meals, has received an unusual boost from the culinary world, attracting contributions from celebrated chefs nationwide. Anusha Roy, a Denver7 morning anchor, is spearheading “A Life Well Fed,” a cookbook designed too empower individuals and families with practical recipes and resources for healthy eating.
The initiative, launched through the nonprofit A Life Well Fed, aims to address food insecurity and promote well-being across Colorado’s diverse communities. Roy conceived the project after witnessing firsthand the challenges many face in accessing affordable, nutritious food while reporting on social issues. The cookbook features recipes curated not only by home cooks but also by prominent chefs including Rick Bayless, Michael Symon, and maneet Chauhan, who have generously shared their expertise and signature dishes.
“I started seeing a pattern in my reporting,” Roy explained. “Whether it was covering the opioid crisis, mental health struggles, or the impacts of climate change, food consistently emerged as a foundational element of well-being. Access to good food isn’t just about sustenance; it’s about dignity, health, and community.”
The cookbook, currently available for pre-order, will benefit food banks and organizations working to combat hunger throughout Colorado. Proceeds from sales will directly support programs providing meals and nutritional education to those in need. A life Well Fed is actively seeking further contributions and partnerships to expand its reach and impact. More details can be found at https://www.alifewellfed.org/.
