And diocravacitinib has been shown in clinical trials to clear up about three-quarters of psoriatic rashes from the body, with diocravacatinib being the first oral treatment approved for the condition in nearly a decade.
The researchers found it to be safer than JAK inhibitors and more effective than current oral treatments offered on the NHS.
Experts said diocravacatinib would improve the lives of thousands of people in the UK.
Psoriasis is reported to cause red, scaly, itchy patches of skin, and in its most severe form can cover almost the entire body, with many sufferers itching to the point of bleeding.
