Two of Uya Kuya‘sโ Cats Recoveredโฃ Following Home Invasion
Jakartaโ – Twoโ cats โคbelonging to television personality Uya Kuya have been recovered โafter a brazen looting โatโ his in-laws’ residence in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on August 31, 2025. The recovery efforts involved collaborationโ with local residents and were publicized โคby singer and actress Sherinaโ Munaf.
The incident,โค whichโค led to โtheโ arrestโค of nine suspects by police, initially left the fate ofโ several of Kuya’s feline companions uncertain. The cats’ disappearance sparked concern among fans and prompted a โขsearch โeffort. The prosperousโ recovery of two cats, named Bulan and Lili, offersโฃ relief amid the ongoing investigation and highlightsโข theโฃ community’s response toโ the crime.
Bulan was โฃinitiallyโข found byโ a resident who was then asked for ransom byโข one of the perpetrators. โฃSherina Munaf shared updates on theโ cat’s condition via her social โmedia, stating, “At present the moon is โin โคa safe condition โat the homeโ of people who are redeeming it and โฃwe have contact toโ continue to monitor their progress,” on tuesday, Septemberโ 2, 2025.
Munaf also confirmed the recovery of Lili in a short video, noting the cat appeared healthy and was playing normally.
Police have apprehended nine individualsโ in connection with the looting of Uya Kuya’s in-laws’ home. Further details regarding the cats’ return to Kuya’s care have not yet been released.
