KTM Reports Strong Sales, Plans Expansion
Despite recent management changes and facility improvements, Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM is thriving, reporting unexpectedly robust sales figures and seeking to expand its workforce.
Strong Sales Fuel Growth
The company announced sales of 100,391 motorcycles worldwide in the first half of 2025, with just over 50,000 already delivered to customers. High demand has allowed KTM to substantially reduce its stock on hand.
According to the Motorcycle Industry Council, new motorcycle sales in the U.S. alone increased by 6.4% in 2024, indicating a broader trend of growing demand (MIC 2024).
CEO’s Statement
Gottfried Neumeister, KTM’s CEO, released a statement highlighting the company’s recent successes: โThe last six months have shown that the backing of the motorcycle community for the KTM brand has been unbroken. Our innovation spirit, our know-how and passion โ over 100,000 motorcycles sold in the first half of the year are responsible for the strong market position that our bikes are popular around the world and that we are on the right track again.”
Hiring Push
Due to the surge in business, KTM is actively recruiting qualified specialists and managers, with a primary focus on its headquarters in Upper Austria. The company also intends to strengthen its international presence.
Change in Command
The positive figures come after a change in management where the Indian group Bajaj took over control.
Looking Ahead
These results suggest that KTM is successfully navigating recent transitions and is poised for continued growth in the motorcycle market.
