Shin Si Ah to Replace Go Min Si in “Grand Galaxy Hotel”
Rising starlet Shin Si Ah is set to replace Go Min Si in the upcoming Korean drama “Grand Galaxy Hotel,” marking a significant casting change for the highly anticipated series. This marks a pivotal moment for the newcomer and reignites interest in the project.
A Changing of the Guard
The drama, a sequel to the popular “Del Luna Hotel,” has seen shifts in its cast, including the initial departure of Cha Eun Woo, who was slated to co-star. “Grand Galaxy Hotel” was originally offered to Go Min Si in January 2025, with Cha Eun Woo attached.
Subsequently, there was speculation that Lee Do Hyun would take over from Cha Eun Woo as the male lead. The drama promised a reunion for Go Min Si and Lee Do Hyun after their shared roles in “Sweet Home,” “Youth of May,” and “Reincarnation Love.”
Allegations and Replacements
However, allegations against Go Min Si surfaced in late May 2025, which impacted her involvement. An anonymous post claimed that the actress had bullied them during middle school, leading to her replacement.
The role has now been given to Shin Si Ah, as reported by Sports Chosun. The drama is being written by the Hong Sisters, renowned for their work on hits like “Master’s Sun” and “Del Luna Hotel,” with Oh Choong Hwan directing.
Shin Si Ah’s Rise
Shin Si Ah gained recognition in 2022 with her debut in “The Witch: Part 2. The Other One.” Her performance as resident doctor Pyo Nam Kyung in the “Hospital Playlist” spin-off, “Resident Playbook,” further solidified her acclaim.
Shin Si Ah’s agency, Management Soop, confirmed her casting. Yuehua Entertainment, representing Lee Do Hyun, also announced that “Grand Galaxy Hotel” would be his first project after completing military service.
The agency stated, โWe are grateful for the many acting offers received by Lee Do Hyun for various projects including advertising. After many considerations, he has decided to comeback through the Grand Galaxy Hotel. Because the wait has been a long time, we ask for your sustainable support and anticipation.โ
The show’s production is set to begin in the second half of 2025, with a scheduled release on Netflix in 2026. According to Statista, the global streaming market is projected to generate $81.57 billion in revenue in 2025, highlighting the high stakes and expectations for such productions (Statista 2025).
Story and Anticipation
Unlike “Hotel Del Luna,” which focused on a mysterious female owner, “Grand Galaxy Hotel” will center on a man, Eun Ha (played by Lee Do Hyun), who takes over a ghost hotel. He will then cause problems for Sang Soon, played by Shin Si Ah.

Fans are highly anticipating the series, which is set to air on Netflix in 2026, and will start filming in the second half of 2025.
