Mike Jasinski’s Ascent
Mike Jasinski’s promotion to national scout marks a meaningful step in his Chargers career. Joining the team in 2018,Jasinski initially served as the combine area scout for two years (2018-19) before transitioning to an area scout role for the past five years. His responsibilities included covering the Plains region from 2022-24 and the Northeast from 2020-21.
Jasinski’s contributions have been instrumental in identifying key talent, including two first-round draft picks: guard Zion Johnson (2022) and wide receiver Quentin Johnston (2023). His background includes experience as the director of football recruiting at Purdue and the director of scouting at Northwestern, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of talent acquisition.

Kevin Weidl Joins the Chargers

Weidl brings a wealth of experience from his nine-year tenure with the Baltimore Ravens (2017-24), where he served as the team’s Southeast/Midwest area scout from 2021-24 after covering the Southeast/Southwest in his initial years.
Prior to his time with the Ravens, Weidl spent a decade (2008-17) with ESPN Scouts Inc., where he honed his evaluation skills by producing scouting reports on draft-eligible prospects. His experience extends beyond scouting, as he also worked as an in-studio host and sideline reporter on ESPN, the SEC Network, and ESPNU, showcasing his communication and analytical abilities.
Weidl’s athletic background includes playing quarterback at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he achieved a 26-6 record as a starter and finished his career with 50 touchdown passes, ranking third in program history.
Jaylen Bannerman-Oden’s Rise Through the Ranks
Jaylen bannerman-Oden’s promotion to area scout reflects his consistent growth and dedication within the Chargers organization. Over the past four seasons, he has steadily progressed, starting as a pro scouting/operations intern in 2021 before transitioning to a scouting assistant (2022-23) and college & pro scout (2024).
Bannerman-Oden’s academic background includes graduating from Ohio University,where he was actively involved with the football team and earned a Templeton Scholarship. His NFL experience began as a video intern and external scouting game charter for the Cleveland Browns in 2020.
Adding to his football pedigree,Bannerman-Oden is the son of Tennessee Titans Pass game Coordinator/Cornerbacks Coach Tony Oden,who has coached for nine NFL teams and won Super Bowl XLIV with the New Orleans Saints.
Maya Harvey’s Unique Skill Set
Maya harvey’s transition to football systems developer brings a unique blend of athletic achievement and technical expertise to the Chargers. After working as a fellow for the team in 2024, Harvey’s role underscores the growing importance of data analytics and technology in modern football.
Harvey graduated from Stanford University with a degree in computer science, specializing in human-computer interaction. Her athletic accomplishments include lettering four years in beach volleyball for the Cardinal (2021-24), earning Pacific-12 Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2024, and amassing 84 career individual victories, the fifth-most in program history.
A native of Hermosa Beach, Harvey was the 2019 AAU Player of the Year and a 2019 Interscholastic Beach Volleyball World Champion.She also contributed to Redondo Union High’s victory in the CIF-SS Indoor Championship in 2019 and won back-to-back IBVL Beach Volleyball state Championships from 2017-18 while at Mira Costa High.
