Tusky Valley Football Player Paralyzed after On-Fieldโฃ Injury
WAYNESDALE,โข OHโข – Mayson White, a football player for โคTusky Valley High School, is currently paralyzed following an injury sustainedโค duringโ a game on Friday night. white fractured his C4โค vertebra, causing pressureโข on his โspine.
He underwent surgery on Saturday, but โhis family confirmed hisโ paralysis in a social media post. โฃ Amanda White, Mayson’s mother, shared an โขupdate on Facebook through the Waynesdale Athletics page, โขrequesting prayers for her son.
“He has some movement in his right โarm, but not his hand, and he can shrug his shoulders, but nothing โฃin his legs. And although this was not the outcome we had been hoping for,we are just so thankful that he is still here โคwith us!
“Our lives may look different,his life may lookโฃ different,but he is still our Mayson!โ We love him so โmuch and are prepared toโข do everything he needs us to do โขand be everything he needs us to be! Please hugโข your babies tight. Ifโ I could trade places with him, I would quicker than a heartbeat!”
According to his mother, Mayson is aware of โconversations and responds byโค nodding his head.
