Princess Kusuma Wardani beat Tomoka Miyazaki in the last match of the group phase BWF World Tour Finals 2025. However, Putri still did not qualify for the semifinals.
Putri won two straight games over Miyazaki in the final match of Group A. Competing at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Friday (19/12/2025) morning WIB, Putri won 21-17, 21-9 over the Japanese representative.
Putri and Miyazaki were chasing points at the start of the first game. Approaching the middle of the game, Putri was 8-12 behind Miyazaki.

However, Putri was able to catch up by winning five points in a row to take a 13-12 lead. The match then became tight until the two players drew 17-17.
Miyazaki quite often made his own mistakes which gave Putri points. Putri closed the first game by winning four consecutive points.
Putri then appeared dominant in the second game. He won six points in a row to lead 10-3 over Miyazaki.
After the interval, Putri continued to widen her lead to 10 points at 16-6. Putri finally locked in a 21-9 victory over Miyazaki.
Despite winning, Putri still did not qualify for the semifinals of the 2025 BWF World Tour Finals. Putri finished third in Group A standings with one win and two losses.
