Hamilton Steak House Staff ‘Shaken’ After Armed Robberyโฃ Disrupts Father’s Day
A brazen armed โrobbery at a Hamiltonโ steak house Sunday morning has left staff members traumatized and police searching for two suspects. The incident occurred at Smith &โข McKenzie Steak House in Chartwell aroundโฃ 11:20 a.m., disrupting Father’s Day celebrationsโ for many.
The robbery unfolded โคwhen two individuals, one brandishing a firearm, allegedly entered the restaurant and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing in a vehicle.โ While โno one was physically injured, the event deeply affected the restaurant’s โteam, โขoccurringโ on a day meant for familyโ and celebration. Police responded swiftly, utilizing details from theโ public to identify the vehicle and โdeploying the Eagle helicopter to assist in the โฃsearch.
According to a police โฃspokesperson, investigators โwere able to locate the vehicle โขin the Chartwell area shortly after the robbery. Armed officers were deployed to the area, and cordonsโฃ were establishedโค as the search continues.
Smith & McKenzie Steak house released a statement acknowledging the traumatic โคexperience and praising their staff’s resilience. “Ourโข staff are understandably shaken and upset, butโฃ we are so proud of their unbelievable strength and composure in such a frightening situation. We truly couldn’t ask โfor a better team,” the statement read.
