Clemson Lands Elite Dual-sport Athlete Tait Reynolds in 2026 Class
CLEMSON – Clemsonโค officially welcomed four-star quarterback Tait Reynoldsโค to the program Wednesday, securing a commitment that beganโข with a summer camp visit in 2024. Reynolds, from Queen Creekโ High School (AZ), remained steadfast in hisโ pledge despite a 7-5 season for the Tigers.
Reynoldsโข emerged as Clemson’s top quarterback target โขduring a camp visit and committed shortly thereafter. He โreceived nearlyโ 30 football scholarship offers from programs including Colorado, North Carolina, Miami, Texas A&M,โค and Oklahoma, but ultimately chose to honor his commitment to Clemson. Initially committed to play baseball at Arizona State, Reynolds’ focus shifted โto football as his talent at quarterbackโฃ became โincreasingly apparent.
“This is one of the most unique kids โฃI have recruited,” said head coach Dabo Swinney.โ “This is a special talent.”
Swinney highlighted Reynolds’ extraordinary arm strengthโค and athleticism, describing him as “big,โ strong, [with] โ a cannon for an arm” andโฃ capable of “flying.” He emphasized Reynolds’ willingness to travel from โขArizona based on trust in the program.
Reynolds intends to play both football and baseball at Clemson, though he will focusโฃ solely on football as an early enrollee, with potential โbaseball participation slated for โ2027. โHe is โคeager to compete for theโฃ starting quarterback position, particularly after a senior season hampered โขby a hamstring injury.
“We got some dudes onโฃ this campus that all want to be the guy,” Swinney stated. “That is what they โcame here for.”
