Incheon-based professional sports teams are gearing up for competition during the Lunar New Year holiday, running from February 14th to 18th, 2026. The Incheon Korean Air Jumbos (men’s volleyball), Heungkuk Life Insurance Pink Spiders (women’s volleyball), Shinhan Bank S-Birds (women’s basketball) and Incheon Urban Development Corporation and Incheon City Hall (men’s and women’s handball) are all actively engaged in their respective league seasons.

The Heungkuk Life Insurance Pink Spiders will host the Daejeon CheongKwanJang on Saturday, February 14th, at the Samsan World Gymnasium. Currently ranked third in the league with 48 points, Heungkuk Life Insurance is in a tight race for second place with Suwon Hyundai Engineering & Construction. The match will feature a notable face-off between setter Lee Na-yeon, recently returned to professional play after appearing on a television program, and Inkushi, the foreign outside hitter for Cheong Kwan-jang.

Also on Saturday, the Korean Air Jumbos will play an away game against Cheonan Hyundai Capital at the Cheonan Yu Gwan-sun Gymnasium. Korean Air (53 points) trails Hyundai Capital (54 points) by a single point, setting the stage for a crucial contest for league leadership. The Jumbos have been propelled by the strong offensive performance of Russell and Jeong Ji-seok.

Shinhan Bank S-Birds will face a challenging away game against league-leading KB Stars in Cheongju on February 14th. The team is currently experiencing a losing streak, and coach Choi Yun-ah posted a message in the locker room emphasizing the need for momentum despite recent defeats.

In men’s handball, the Incheon Urban Development Corporation will continue its dominant season with a third-round match against Hanam City Hall at the Seoul Olympic Park Handball Stadium. The team boasts a 10-game winning streak and is currently leading the league, showcasing quick transitions and high scoring. Rightback Kim Jin-young has been a key contributor to their success.

On Sunday, February 15th, Incheon City Hall’s women’s handball team will play the second round match against Gyeongnam Development Corporation at the Seoul Olympic Park Handball Stadium. The team recently broke a seven-game losing streak with a victory over Seoul City Hall, signaling a potential turnaround. Coach Moon Pil-hee has stated the team is focused on building a strong foundation for Incheon handball.

Shinhan Bank S-Birds will return to action on February 16th with a home game against Busan BNK at Dowon Gymnasium in Incheon. The team will be looking to secure a win for their home fans, having only recorded one home victory this season.

Heungkuk Life Insurance will then travel to Gimcheon Indoor Gymnasium on February 17th for a fifth-round away match against league leader Korea Expressway Corporation. The Pink Spiders have been steadily improving their position in the league.

Concluding the holiday schedule on February 18th, the Korean Air Jumbos will host OK Savings Bank at Gyeyang Gymnasium in Incheon. Fans will have the opportunity to witness the powerful serving and spiking of Russell and Jeong Ji-seok.

Incheon has a long history as a hub for modern sports in Korea, often referred to as the “old capital of Incheon,” and continues to be a significant center for professional athletics.
