ABU DHABI – The UAE has tightened the federal law to prevent examination irregularities in government and private educational institutions. Violators can be fined up to Dh2 lakh (over Rs 45 lakh). It has also been clarified that even if anyone else is involved in the crime apart from the students, they will be fined.

Violations such as eavesdropping, printing, distributing, disseminating information related to question, answer, or exam content, spreading it through social media, impersonating the exam, or ordering a fine or up to 6 months of community service. Disciplinary action will be initiated against the cheating student. The action will be in accordance with the code of conduct of the Ministry of Education, the Education Department of the respective Emirate and the educational institutions.

Action will be taken against infiltrating the examination systems through online, falsifying the results, leaking information related to questions, answers and examination content, adopting other illegal methods in the examination centers. The authorities explained that the punitive measures are seen as an opportunity to teach children with compassion and guide them on the right path.

Doha Metro Link Bus Journeys Convenient with Qatar Rail’s New Travel Card Use

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com January 6, 2024
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Doha ∙ Qatar Rail can now use Doha Metro travel cards for Metro Link bus journeys. The aim is to make travel on Metro Links, which are feeder buses for metro passengers, easier. Standard and Gold Club card holders can use the service by tapping the card on the bus’s reader while entering the buses. However, paper tickets of the metro will not get this service.

Officials clarified that children above 5 years of age also need to tap the travel card on the bus reader to use the Metro Link service. Metro Link QR Code and Karva Smart Cards implemented in the first phase are also in effect.

Metrolink feeder buses allow free travel for passengers within 2 to 5 km of Doha Metro stations. Passengers within 5 km radius of the station can alight from the metro and board Metro Link buses to reach home free of cost. Thousands of people use the Doha Metro and Metro Link buses every day.

Link buses run Sunday to Wednesday from 5.30am to 11.59pm, Thursdays from 5.30am to 1am, Fridays from 2pm to 1am and Saturdays from 6am to 11.50pm. There are 60 Metro Link routes from Doha Metro stations on the Metro’s Red, Green and Gold lines to various regions.
