Concert Night Sees Police Respond to Intoxication โข& Disruptive Behaviour in Trรธndelag
Steinkjer,โ Norway – Despite โคa busy evening with aโค concert in โคthe area, policeโค in the Trรธndelag district reported a relatively quiet night overall. However, officers respondedโ to a series of incidents stemming largely from alcohol-related โissues and disruptive behavior, resulting in multipleโ arrests and expulsions.
Throughout theโ concert, police handled a total of 19 assignments. Eleven individualsโฃ where removed from โthe venue, and four were taken into custody -โ all men, with three in their 20s and โคone in his 40s – due to intoxication or non-compliance with police orders.
Altercation at nightclub โLeads to Expulsion
Shortly after midnight,police were called toโ a Steinkjer nightclub regarding a female โguestโฃ who had been asked to leave. According to Operations Manager Anlaugโค Oseid, the woman became involved in an argument with security staffโ and “held another personโฃ in the shirt.”
Policeโ arrived toโ find the woman with a man, and โคboth were expelled from the premises, barred from returning โuntill 8:00 AM Saturday. Both individuals are local residentsโฃ and known to โขpolice.
Loud Music & Suspected DUI
Further incidents included a complaintโ about excessively loud music emanating from a car at an Esso stationโ in verdal city center. The driver, โa โฃman in his 20s โคfrom the surrounding area, was instructedโข to leaveโข and not return to the cityโค center โuntil Saturdayโข morning. Police โคstated they were alreadyโฃ monitoring the area due โto previous complaints about noise.
In Grong, police encountered a teenager suspected ofโฃ driving under the influence. The individual was taken to the hospital for a โblood test to determine โฃtheir blood โฃalcohol content.

Despite these incidents, Operations Manager Oseid characterized โthe night as โฃ”on the whole a quiet nightโ watchman,” acknowledging โsome instances ofโ intoxication but emphasizing the lackโข of major โคdisturbances.
