New Delhi: The wife โof former attorney General Mukul Rohatgi has purchased a bungalow in Delhi’s upscale Golf Links locality for โน115 โcrore, according to documents accessed recently. This marksโข her secondโ notable property acquisition in the โขarea โin under two years,โ signaling โคcontinued โขhigh demandโข for prime real estate โamong India’s corporate elite.
In February 2023, she had acquired a 2,100 square yard bungalowโ in โคGolf โLinks for โน160 crore. The latest transaction, registered on August 23,โฃ involved a stamp duty payment of โน5.7 crore.
The purchase underscores a trend of โcorporate leaders investing in Delhi’s moast exclusive neighborhoods. Golf Links, in particular, has โbecome a favored destination forโ the wealthy, maintaining firm prices due to limited โavailability.
Recent high-profile transactions in the area include former solicitor general Gopal Subramanium’s purchase of an 866 square yard bungalow in Sunder Nagar โคfor โน85 crore.Rategain founder Bhanu Chopra recently bought an 850 square meter bungalow โขat Golf Links for โน127.5 crore, and Maxop Engineering director Shaileshโ Arora โpurchased โขa 575 square yard bungalow โin Golf โLinks for โน68.5 crore. Pawan Agarwal, deputy MD of DB Group (Dainik Bhaskar), also acquired aโ 575 square yard bungalow for โน75 crore. Sunil Vachani, chairmanโ of Dixon Tech, โand Vishwavir Ahuja, former chairman and MD of RBL โคBank, have also invested โin Golf Links bungalows since the pandemic.
Mukulโข Rohatgi did not respond to a request for comment regarding the latest deal. โฃLast year, Rohatgi and his wifeโ sold a bungalowโ in Delhi’s Sunder Nagar area for โน100 crore.
