Gold Prices Dip in egypt Amid Global market Shifts
Cairo, Egypt – 2025/08/29 – Gold prices in Egypt experienced a decrease today, influenced by a decline in the global gold market. the price of 21 karat gold, the moast traded in the country, reached 5,350 Egyptian pounds. Together, the price of the gold pound settled at 42,800 pounds.
The downward shift follows a period of gains for the precious metal, which had been trending upwards for three consecutive months. this fluctuation impacts both investors and consumers in Egypt, a nation with a historically strong cultural affinity for gold and where it is often used as a store of value.The current price adjustments come as global gold spot transactions reached $4,002 per ounce, a decrease from yesterday’s high of $4,034.
Further details reveal that 24 karat gold is currently valued at 6,114 pounds, while 22 karat gold stands at 5,604 pounds. Lower karats also saw adjustments, with 18 karat priced at 4,585 pounds and 14 karat at 3,566 pounds.
Despite the recent dip, gold had shown positive momentum during Asian trading yesterday, increasing by 4.5% throughout August. US gold futures contracts for December delivery,however,experienced a 1.1% decrease,closing at $3,955 per ounce.
Other precious metals also exhibited varied movements: silver settled at $48.92 per ounce, platinum rose slightly to $1,613.50, and palladium increased by 2.1% to $1,474.51.
