The report reveals a concerning global trend: worldโค peace deteriorated by 0.36% in the last year, continuing an uninterrupted decline since 2014. Over the past decade, 100 countries have experienced a worsening of โtheir peace levels. Thisโข comes as the number of โactive state conflicts reaches a post-World โฃWar II high of 59, โคresulting in 152,000 conflict-related deaths in 2024. Costa Rica’s ranking stands โขin stark contrast to the โขregional โขlandscape,where escalatingโข violence and political instability are prevalent.
