TURIN, ITALY – The Torino Film Festival is redefining the cinematic experience with a renewed focus on quality over quantity, spearheaded by artistic director Luca Barbareschi. Eschewing the sprawling lineups of some festivals, Barbareschi champions a streamlined program designed⁤ for focused engagement, featuring three competitive sections ‍- features, documentaries, and shorts⁤ – each showcasing 16 titles over⁣ an eight-day run.

In a move that continues its tradition of celebrating cinematic titans, the Turin Film Festival (TFF) has announced that its 43rd edition, set to run from November 21 to 29, 2025, will be dedicated to the iconic Paul Newman. The festival will mark the centenary of the beloved actor’s birth with a curated selection of 24 films that span his remarkable career, from his early days in the 1950s to his international breakthroughs and his later, more profound performances.Newman, renowned for his magnetic charisma, intense acting, and expressive gaze, brought to life unforgettable characters that have left an indelible mark on global audiences.

The official manifesto for the festival features a powerful photograph of Newman taken in 1981 on the set of Sydney pollack’s “Absence of Malice.” The image, captured by Eva Sereny and licensed through Iconic Images, encapsulates the actor’s enduring appeal.
