Composer Raimonds Pauls and entrepreneur Julijs Krūmiņš are ancient friends – grown up in Iļģuciems and later lived in neighboring Baltezers. Millionaire Krumins has recently presented an unexpected gift to the composer, in the presence of many witnesses.
July Krumins is one of the best known entrepreneurs in Latvia, one of Latvian millionaires. Initially, he operated at the Riga Film Studio and Mosfilm (from 1969 to 1989), where he gained experience in the film industry and also studied directing in Moscow. He later focused on business – transport, port and real estate.
In 1989 he founded his own company Man-Tess, which was later led by his daughter. The company was sold in 2012, even though the deal was not disclosed, it was estimated at around $ 30 million.
Julius Krumins often appeared in the media and in society, and has close and friendly relations with several Latvian celebrities – singers Laima Vaikulis and Dinar Rudan, including composer Raimonds Pauls. The composer has a special relationship with Krumins, because at one time, the children lived in Iļģuciems, but later, both Krumins and Paul had property in Baltezers and both were again neighbors.

On the TV show “Celebrities. Without Filter” he discovered that he would like to find a wife who would like to live with him not because he is wealthy but the same. In addition, she wants her to make a delicious dinner for her and engrave the garden. Such women today are not found.

According to Kas New magazine, an unexpected and amusing meeting has turned to both in Valmiera when they both attended one event. July drove with his Mercedes-Benz car at the Valmiera Museum and climbed out of the car, wanted to show Paul a photo since 1994, when the two were fishing to Lake Lubāna.

“What do you want to give me here? I think you want to give me the car!” Paul joked. Krumini joked in contrast to having a car for him, but he already had one. But July went to the car and went for a shout. After a while he came from the car and said that since Raimonds Pauls had not come to Midsummer, he has now brought the holiday to him.
It turns out that Krumin Paul had brought a tray with boiled crayfish caught in his backyard pond! Maestro has stated, “But where now, I do not think those crayfish, how do you think?”. But July laughed, “Pockets!”.
