Chairman of Bappilu PPP Sandiaga Uno would be honored to be invited to join in building the nation in the next government. Deputy Secretary of TKN Prabowo-Gibran Saleh Partaonan Daulay assessing that this statement shows that Sandiaga has acknowledged the victory of presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election.

“Sandiaga’s statement is considered good. It shows that Sandiaga has acknowledged Prabowo-Gibran’s victory in the last presidential election,” Saleh told reporters, Tuesday (27/2/2024).

Saleh said Sandiaga’s statement was actually different from the National Winning Team (TPN) pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. Saleh mentioned that there are people in TPN Ganjar-Mahfud who still want to contest Prabowo-Gibran’s victory.

“In fact, if you look closely, there are still the winning team of pair 03 who want to question it. Everything is very clear. There are parties who want to challenge Prabowo-Gibran’s victory. There are those who want to go to the Constitutional Court, but there are also those who are making a right of inquiry. Well, if it’s like this, “The presidential election is not over in their eyes,” said Saleh.

“If the presidential election isn’t finished yet, how do you want to join? There’s still a process that needs to be completed. Everyone has to wait for the calculation and determination of the winner,” he continued.

Saleh advised Sandiaga to talk to his coalition regarding his statement. Saleh warned against any maneuvers that go out of line.

“To make it quicker, Pak Sandi should talk to his coalition. There should be no further maneuvers that go out of line. Constitutionally, the right to inquiry can be rolled out. But, not to annul the victory of a particular candidate pair in the election,” said Saleh.

Saleh admitted that he was sure that if Prabowo was elected president, he would certainly be happy if Sandiaga joined the government. Moreover, said Saleh, Gerindra helped raise Sandiaga in the political arena.

“I’m sure Prabowo will be happy if Sandi can join. Moreover, Sandi has been at Gerindra for a long time. It could even be said that Gerindra has also helped raise Sandi on the political path,” he said.

“Of course, Sandi is not new. Prabowo and his friends in candidate pair 02 know him. However, all decisions must be returned to Pak Prabowo and Gibran. In fact, they are the ones who were given the mandate by the people,” he added.

The chairman of the PAN faction heard that many people wanted to join the new government later. Nevertheless, Saleh said he was happy that this showed they believed Prabowo-Gibran would be good national leaders.

“Apart from Sandi, there are many people who want to join. There are those who are outspoken like Mr. Sandi. There are those who give signals. There are those who are shy, and so on. It’s just a matter of expression. But we are happy that everyone believes that Prabowo and Gibran will be a good national leader,” said Saleh.

Sandiaga: PPP is a government supporting party

Previously, Sandiaga Uno said PPP was a party supporting the government. He said there were still ministers from the PPP in the Advanced Indonesia cabinet.

“PPP is a party that supports the government, so our positions in the government are 2 ministers, 1 deputy minister, 1 special presidential envoy. Of course there will be a continuing process,” said Sandiaga Uno at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday (26/2/2024 ). Sandiaga answered journalists’ questions about whether he would be invited to join.

“But my view, my personal view, is that we are definitely very honored to be invited to build the nation,” explained the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.

However, the appointment of ministers, said Sandiaga, has a process. One of them, said Sandiaga, is the party’s national team meeting.
