TOYOTA, JAPAN – Ghana international Francis Abu has successfully undergone surgery to repairโฃ fractures โคsustained during โa recentโข match against Japan, the Ghana Football โAssociation announced today.
The midfielder suffered โฃfractures to two bones during the game andโ was immediately hospitalized at Toyota Memorial Hospital. Following swift coordination between Black Stars head of medicalโข Dr. โฃPrince Pambo, representatives from Abu’s club, Toulouse FC, and the surgical team โin Japan, the procedure was completed โขsuccessfully, and the initial stage of his rehabilitation has begun.
This positive growth marks a crucial first step in Abu’s recovery, with the GFA prioritizing his return to full fitness. To support his intensive physiotherapy during thisโข critical acute phase, a dedicated physiotherapist will remain with the player. Further, โฃarrangements are underway for a senior member of the Black Stars technical teamโข to accompany Abu back to hisโ club base in โFrance upon his discharge from the hospital.
