Madrid, September 28, 2025 – The jiménez Díaz Foundation (FJD) today commemorates 90 years of pioneering medical care, education, and research in Spain.Founded by Prof. carlos Jiménez Díaz, the hospital - affectionately known as “The Shell“ in tribute to Concepción Rábago, the founder’s wife – has long been a benchmark for quality and clinical safety within the Spanish healthcare system.
To mark the milestone, the FJD has launched “Future of our History,” an audiovisual project featuring nine videos and podcasts.The series showcases the perspectives of 18 professionals spanning different generations, reflecting on the evolution of medicine, future challenges, and the core values of the institution. conversations were recorded at the Hospital Aula Magna, bringing together both established figures and emerging talents.
The campaign highlights key pillars of the FJD’s success: applied research, medical training, empathy, technological innovation, and patient-centered care. The Foundation envisions continuing to advance medicine from its expanding hospital campus, with a renewed commitment to leaving a lasting impact on Spanish healthcare – a vision mirroring the ambition held 90 years ago. Generations of professionals identify as “Conchitos,” a term embodying pride and belonging within the FJD community.
