Trustly and Acres Manufacturing Launch Cashless Casino Payments with ‘Scan & Pay’
LAS VEGAS – October 6, 2025 – Trustly, a leading pay-by-bank solutions provider, and Acres manufacturing, a casino technology innovator, have partnered to bring a new cashless payment option to casino floors nationwide. The new solution, “Trustly Scan & Pay,” allows players to fund gaming activity directly from their bank accounts by scanning a QR code.
The system requires no sign-ups or downloads, eliminating the need for player cards, mobile apps, or digital wallets. Players initiate a bank transfer by scanning a QR code displayed on Acres’ Global Payment Adapter screen, completing the transaction within seconds.
According to a press release, Scan & pay is designed to help casino operators recoup approximately 6% of revenue currently lost to cash handling costs, while ensuring transactions are ”instant, guaranteed, and backed by bank-level security.” Data also indicates that cashless players demonstrate a 38% increase in coin-in compared to cash-based play.
“The Universal Payment Adapter gives casinos a true plug-and-play cashless interface that requires no additional technology integration and boasts widespread regulatory approvals throughout the United States,” said Noah Acres of Acres Manufacturing. “By linking it to Trustly Scan & Pay, casinos can offer their players a way to fund games electronically that’s quicker and easier than cash.”
The partnership builds on the growing trend of pay-by-bank solutions in the gaming industry. John Parsons, vice president of gaming at Trustly, previously told PYMNTS that lengthy processing times for deposits and payouts are a major pain point for players. “it’s very frustrating for a player to deposit money [on one site] and then have it [stuck] there for three to five days because of processing times,” Parsons said.
Today, instant payout options are available through payment rails like the RTP® network, allowing for money transmission in as little as 15 seconds. As consumer expectations for instant transactions rise, pay-by-bank solutions are gaining traction as a convenient and secure alternative to traditional payment methods.
