Alphard: A Blend of Luxury and Technology
Redesigned for Enhanced Comfort
The current generation Toyota Alphard showcases a more modern aesthetic, built on the new Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. This redesign prioritizes reducing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) for a supremely comfortable ride. Its imposing front grille exudes an elegant and luxurious presence, complemented by sharp LED headlights and distinctive Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) on the G and Hev trims.
Under the hood, the gasoline variant is powered by a 2AR-FE 2.5L engine, paired with a Super CVT-I transmission. This setup delivers 182 PS at 6,000 rpm and 235 Nm of torque at 4,100 rpm. The hybrid model features an A25A-FXS engine, producing 190 PS at 6,000 rpm and 236 Nm of torque between 4,300-4,500 rpm. Both powertrains are mated to a CVT gearbox.
Advanced Safety Features
Toyota has equipped the Alphard with its comprehensive Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) 3.0 suite. This advanced active safety package includes Pre Collision System (PCS) to help prevent frontal impacts, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) for maintaining a set distance from the vehicle ahead, and Lane Departure Assist (LDA) to prevent unintentional lane drift. Additionally, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) and Adaptive High Beam (AHB) enhance visibility and safety during night driving. A new Driver Monitoring System (DMS) is also integrated to help detect driver drowsiness.
The Indonesian luxury MPV market continues to see strong demand, with sales of premium SUVs and MPVs increasing by approximately 15% in the first half of 2024, according to Gaikindo data. This makes the current discounts on the Toyota Alphard a significant opportunity for prospective buyers.
