Mitsubishi Updates Delica Mini for Enhanced Comfort โคandโข Capability
Mitsubishi has announced updates toโค its Delica Mini, buildingโค on the vehicle’sโค popularity since its 2023 launch.โ The refreshed model focuses on combining a reliableโ design with daily comfortโ and improved functionality for a variety of driving conditions.
According to Kosuke Fujii,Chief Product โขSpecialist (Head of Product Planning),the Delicaโ Mini has resonated with consumers due to its “tough andโ charming design and goodโค drivingโฃ performance.” Heโ notes the updated Delica Mini continues to evolve, maintaining a design that is both calm and cute, while remainingโข dependable. Mitsubishi believes the vehicle can confidently handle diverse road surfaces and support a rangeโฃ of activities.
“You can spend more valuable time with family and friends.We hope to bringโฃ aโ very rich โขdriving life like that,” Fujii โคstated.
The exterior updates include larger circular LED headlights and a refined front grille design, contributing to a more robust appearance. Theโ front bumper now features aโข body-colored dynamic shield element. The hood, sides, and doors exhibit more curved lines โขcompared to the previous model,โค while โฃthe A-pillars have been made more upright and moved forward by 115mm to increase interior space.
Despite these changes, the Delica Mini’s dimensions remainโ consistent with Japan’s kei Car regulations:โ 3,395mm inโ length, 1,475mm in width, and โค1,800mm in height, โขwith a 2,495mm wheelbase.
Inside, the dashboard has been redesigned with an integrated 7-inchโ digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch entertainment screen. The air conditioning controls have been revised to incorporate dedicated buttons for driving modes -โ Power,Normal,Eco,Gravel,and โขSnow – for easier operation.
Mitsubishi has not yet released detailed specifications regarding the powertrain. โขHowever,โ the previousโข generation Delica Mini was โขoffered with a 659cc turbocharged โฃthree-cylinder engine (BR06 code) producing 64 PS and 100 Nm of torque, as well as a naturally aspirated version delivering 52โฃ PS and 60 โNm of torque. Both enginesโข were paired with โคaโ CVT โtransmission and available in either front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheelโ drive (AWD) configurations.
The updated Mitsubishi Delicaโข Mini is expected to be priced between 1.95 and โ2.95 million yen. Converted to Indonesian Rupiah, this โtranslates to approximatelyโ Rp.215 million to Rp.325 millionโ (using an โexchange rate of 1 yen = Rp.โ 110.4).
