Handicraft Fair in Sargalaya Kozhikode | Kerala | Deshabhimani

The international arts and crafts fair starts at Iringal Sargalaya. The 19-day fair was inaugurated by PA Minister Muhammad Riaz. The fair will have artisans from 12 countries and 236 stalls from 26 states. Kanathil Jamila MLA chaired. Collector of Handicraft Bazaar Pavilion Dr. Tej Lohit Reddy, Municipal President of International Handicraft Pavilion Vadakkil Shefiq and General Manager of NABARD Pavilion Gopakumaran Nair inaugurated the event. The president of the Uralungal Labor Contract Society, Ramesan Paleri, gave the gift. Advisor Muhammad Ashraf, Dr. Saji Prabhakaran, Niranjankumar Jonnalagada, MP Shibu and Mathil Nanu spoke. Sargalaya Managing Director PP Bhaskaran welcomed and General Manager TK Rajesh congratulated. Wayanad Malamuzhaki troupe bamboo music program was also staged.

US arms package for Ukraine; World Patriot missiles will be provided | Deshabhimani

The United States has announced an arms package to Ukraine as part of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit. 104 Patriot missiles will be supplied for air defense. A package of 15347 crore for other military purposes has also been announced. Zelensky came to America looking for more help for defense purposes.

Addressing the US Congress, Zelensky said that the country’s sovereignty will not be undermined and Russia will not surrender. Zelensky thanked the United States for its military and financial assistance to Ukraine.

Zelensky met with US President Joe Biden at the White House. Biden said he would provide more aid to Ukraine. Patriot missiles are provided for air defense. Biden also said the United States would provide training in using the missile. The US has already supplied Rs 2000 crore worth of weapons to Ukraine.

National Highway Development Will Be Settled Through Discussion: Gadkari Kerala | Deshabhimani

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said he would consult with the state to find a solution to the problems related to the development of national highways. The union minister was inaugurating and laying stones for 15 national highway development projects worth Rs 45,536 crore in the state.

The state understands the difficulty in providing the required 25 percent land acquisition for National Highways. If some of the Centre’s proposals are accepted, the land acquisition tax will not be collected by the state. The state is expected to accept requests for free government land for the National Highway and exemption from state GST on cables and concrete.

Three lakh crore rupee projects will be implemented by 2025 with the cooperation of the state. Gadkari said that the support received from the state government in land acquisition and construction is huge and Kerala is one of the best tourist destinations in the world.

Manama > A new federal law on the employment of domestic workers in the UAE will come into force on Thursday. The law guarantees a suitable working environment for domestic workers in accordance with the country’s law and international agreements.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced on Wednesday that the law establishes a comprehensive framework for strengthening and regulating labor relations for the recruitment and employment of domestic workers in the UAE and defines responsibilities so as to protect their rights and duties.

The law was announced on October 5 last year. Under the new law, domestic workers can carry their personal identification documents (including passports) with them. The law strictly prohibits the hiring or employment of domestic workers under the age of 18. Mandatory Ministry of Human Resources license for recruitment or temporary work. The law prohibits employment agencies, directly or through third parties, from charging commissions or fees for hiring.

It is also forbidden to hire domestic workers from your country without informing them of the nature of the work, salary and other benefits. Evidence of the physical fitness, health, mental and occupational status of recruits should be made available to the employer in advance. The employment contract should be drawn up in the Mantralam format. The contract should specify the financial obligations of the employer to bring the worker to the UAE and the expenses of the recruitment agency.
In case the employment agency violates the conditions, an alternative worker should be provided. Otherwise, the recruitment fee should be refunded to the employer. In this case, the employer can ask the agency for compensation for damages caused by the breach of contract.

Recruitment agencies should treat domestic workers humanely. Don’t attack them. The employer is required to provide adequate accommodation, food and clothing. The employer must adequately treat the domestic worker, protect his dignity and physical fitness and pay him according to the employment contract. The employer must pay for medical expenses or health insurance coverage for the employee.

The employer must provide the domestic worker with a return flight ticket once every two years. If both parties agree to terminate or not renew the employment contract after the annual leave, the domestic worker should only be given a one-way ticket to his or her home country. The worker must perform the work under the direction and supervision of the employer and in accordance with the employment contract. The domestic worker must respect the privacy of the workplace. They must protect the employer’s assets, work equipment and all things in their custody and not use them for outside work without the employer’s permission.

Harassment of young woman for witchcraft: husband and sorcerers arrested | Kollam | Kerala | Deshabhimani

Woman’s husband Anish (34), Sulaiman (52) of Chandanakkav Bilan Mansil, Kollam, Punalur, Shahina (23), husband Shibu (31), Anwar Hussain (28) of Imamuddin Mansil, Punalur Kulathupuzha Nellimudu and Imamuddin (35 ) of Imamuddin Mansil and were arrested by Nooranad police.

Anish is the second husband of the young lady who used to work at Thiruvananthapuram Info Park and Techno Park. When they were at home, they would walk with Anish and recite her mantras. With the help of Shibu and Shahina, sorcerers of Kulathupuzha were called in to evacuate the jinn from the body.

The first attack took place in August at the woman’s home. The woman was injured and treated. After the treatment, the young woman was taken to Shibu’s home and beaten.

On December 11, the defendant reached the house where the woman and others were renting. The young woman ran away scared and was dragged inside the house. Police also said the woman’s clothes were torn. Umma was also beaten when she tried to stop him. A one-year-old baby in the cradle was also dragged down.

When she withstood the abuse, she was tied up, beaten and stabbed with a sword. Police said the physical abuse was repeated three times. Now both live in a rented house in Adikatkulangara. Neighbors were told the young woman was insane.

The events in this house in the middle of a rubber plantation were not known to the outside world. The woman filed a complaint with the Nooranad police after the brutal harassment. Upon learning that the accused were hiding near Adikatkulangara Rifai church for another witchcraft, police arrested the six people. The Mavelikkara First Class Judicial Court remanded the accused in custody. Nooranad CI Sreejith, SI Nidhish, Junior SI Deepupilla, SI Rajeev, ASI Pushpan, CPO Sreekala, Prasan, Ratheesh, Arun and Santhosh were part of the investigation team.
