Nemanja Celic’s uncertain future at SV Darmstadt 98: Transfer rumors and disappointing loan spells

written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Nemanja Celic has no future at SV Darmstadt 98.

As the “Kicker” reports, the 24-year-old from Upper Austria should leave the German first division this summer.

The ÖFB legionnaire was given the go-ahead to look for a new club. Actually, the defensive midfielder at Böllenfalltor still has a contract until 2024.

Celic loaned out to LASK last season

In the summer of 2021, Celic switched from WSG Tirol to the then second division team from Darmstadt for 400,000 euros. In his debut season, he made 15 appearances for the Lilies.

The following summer, however, he went back to Austria. LASK struck and loaned the Upper Austrian for a season. However, Celic did not play a major role in Linz, only making eleven appearances.

In Darmstadt, the former ÖFB U21 team player recently took part in the preparations for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Now the defensive midfielder has to move on again.

Xavi Simons’ Loan to RB Leipzig and Double Talent Acquisition: Latest News and Updates

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com July 18, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

It was only on Sunday that Xavi Simons’ return campaign to Paris-Saint Germain became official, a day later his – at least temporary departure – seems to have been decided again.

According to consistent media reports, the Dutch top talent is about to be loaned to RB Leipzig. The creative player should move to Germany for a year to gain more game practice there.

Despite his young age, Simons has been the focus of the media for several years. The now 20-year-old joined PSG U19s from Barca’s La Masia academy in 2019. Simons never really caught on in the French capital and was sold to PSV Eindhoven last summer.

Second talent should come in a double pack

Thanks to a buyback clause of six million euros, the reigning Ligue 1 champions are said to have brought the top talent back. Simons appeared in 48 games for PSV last season, contributing 22 goals and 12 assists.

In addition to Simons, another talent from the French capital is to move to Leipzig on loan. We’re talking about El Chadaille Bitshiabu. The only 18-year-old central defender has been playing for PSG since 2017. Bitshiabu featured in 17 competitive games last season.

Leipzig wants to officially sign the two top talents by Thursday in order to integrate them into the team at the training camp in South Tyrol. It would be the sixth and seventh signing of the Saxons in this transfer period. Nicolas Seiwald, Benjamin Sesko and Christoph Baumgartner, among others, have already joined the people of Leipzig.

Barcelona’s Plans for Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s Contract Extension: 3 More Years at Camp Nou

Barcelona’s Plans for Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s Contract Extension: 3 More Years at Camp Nou

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com July 13, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been between the posts of FC Barcelona since 2014, and nothing should change about that.

As reported by “Marca”, talks about a contract extension have been started. Although the DFB goalkeeper still has a valid working paper until 2025, the Blaugrana are aiming for the 31-year-old to end his career at the Camp Nou.

According to the report, ter Stegen should sign for three more years – i.e. until 2028 – when the Mönchengladbach native would be 36 years old. “Marca” assumes an agreement, the talks would be harmonious and Ter Stegen is happy in Barcelona.

With 255 appearances, the German is currently fourth in the ranking of Barca goalies with the most games in La Liga, behind leader Victor Valdes by 132 games. Ter Stegen would easily surpass this mark if he remains injury-free and actually plays for Barca for five more years.

Neymar Transfer Rumors: New York City FC Interested in Signing Barcelona Superstar

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com July 11, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

After Lionel Messi, Major League Soccer could soon be enriched by another superstar.

As the Spanish “Mundo Deportivo” reports, FC New York City are said to be very interested in signing Neymar.

However, the newspaper also speculates about a return to FC Barcelona, where Neymar was under contract between 2013 and 2017.

Because Barcelona have already received a basket from Messi, Neymar is said to have been offered to the Spanish champions in the current transfer period. However, the Catalans refused because Neymar could endanger the harmony among the players.

On the other hand, the financially troubled Spanish champions could not possibly handle the transfer fee and the salary of the Brazilian. Neymar’s contract in Paris runs until 2025, so a high transfer fee would be due.

Neymar future in Paris unclear

FC New York City is said to be already planning an offer and, unlike the Catalans, would have the financial requirements.

Neymar’s future at Paris St. Germain is said to depend primarily on neo-manager Luis Enrique, who recently took over.

Last season, Neymar struggled with injuries and missed the end of the season, making only 20 appearances in Ligue 1.

Nevertheless, the Brazilian was able to come up with strong scorer values: 13 goals and eleven assists were his haul.

Ex-Salzburg Player Masaya Okugawa Signs with FC Augsburg for New Season

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com July 6, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Masaya Okugawa and Arminia Bilefeld were relegated from the 2nd German Bundesliga to the 3rd division last season.

Now things are looking up again for the ex-Salzburger. Okugawa has signed a working paper with FC Augsburg for the coming season. The change is free of charge. The two-time Austrian champion received a three-year contract with his new club.

Lots of Austria experience

The past two years have been anything but ideal for the 27-year-old and Bielefeld. In the 2021/22 season you had to go from the Bundesliga to the second division, in the past season there was even relegation to the 3rd division.

Okugawa has a lot of experience in Austria. In 2015 he moved from Kyoto Saga (Japan) to FC Red Bull Salzburg.

With a loan to Mattersburg and appearances at the Liefering cooperation club, he has made a total of 57 Bundesliga appearances and 64 appearances in the 2nd division in the Alpine Republic.
