Isak Breaks Drought as Liverpool Defeat West Ham 2-0
LONDON – Alexander Isak scored his first Premier league goal of the season as Liverpool defeated West Ham United 2-0 at London Stadium on November 30, 2025. The victory extends Liverpool’s winning form and solidifies their position in the league standings.
The first half saw several chances for both sides, but neither team could find the back of the net. Alexis Mac Allister tested West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola with a powerful shot in the opening minutes, while Florian Wirtz also had an opportunity in the 39th minute.
Liverpool continued to dominate in the second half, and their pressure paid off in the 60th minute when Isak converted a pass from Cody Gakpo, sending the ball into the right corner of the goal.
West Ham’s chances were further hampered when Lucas Paqueta received two yellow cards – the second in the 84th minute - resulting in his dismissal.
Liverpool sealed the victory in the 91st minute with a goal from Gakpo, who finished a cross from Joe Gomez during a counter-attack. The final score was 2-0 to Liverpool.
