The wife of the ex-midfielder of Atalanta, Roksana Malinovskaya, told Football Time how her husband has changed after moving to Marseille.

“First of all, it is very important for me that this is a great team and a great team. And for Ruslan to feel needed there and play, have experience and grow in terms of football.

It is very noticeable that Marseille expected this transfer, that this is the player they wanted to sign, that he suits the coach. For them, the transfer was fundamental. Ruslan now and a month ago are different people. I already got used to the fact that the last 2-3 months, when he did not play at Atalanta, he was sad.

And not because he didn’t play. Maybe he didn’t feel like part of the team the way he did at Genk or now at Marsell,” said Malinovskaya.

French newspaper Le Parisien reported on Wednesday that Lionel Messi, who won the World Cup in Qatar with Argentina, has reached an agreement with French Premier League club Paris Saint-Germain to stay with the club at least for the 2023-2024 season.

Seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi, 35, helped Argentina win the World Cup by beating France on penalties in Sunday’s final.

“In early December, in the midst of the World Cup, an agreement was reached (with Messi) to stay at least for another season,” the newspaper said, without citing any sources.

No PSG officials were immediately available for comment.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said this month that Messi was happy with the Ligue 1 champions, adding that contract extension discussions would take place after the World Cup.

Messi, who has scored 12 goals and sent 14 assists for Paris Saint-Germain in all competitions this season, joined the French capital outfit from Barcelona in 2021 on a two-year deal.
