Free, โฃAnonymous HIV Testing โAvailable in Frankenthal for โWorld AIDS Day
Frankenthal residents can access free โคand confidential testing for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) on Monday, December โ1st, asโ part of a World AIDS day campaign organized by the Rhine-Palatinate district health department. The testing will takeโ place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the health department in Ludwigshafen (Dรถrrhorststrasse 36,2nd floor).
World AIDS Day, observed annually sinceโ 1988, serves asโ a โคglobal reminder of the ongoing โfight against HIV/AIDS. While medical advancements haveโ transformed HIV from a death sentence into a manageable condition, stigma โand limited accessโข to testing remain significant barriers to prevention and treatment. The Germanโ Aids Association advocates for non-discriminatory care and universal access โto medical resources for those affected. This testing initiative aimsโ to address both, offering anonymous screenings for HIV antibodies, hepatitis B and C,syphilis, chlamydia, and gonococci.
The Rhine-palatinate district health department provides services for Frankenthal,Ludwigshafen, and Speyer. Prior to testing, individuals can receive confidential โขadvice and information from health professionals. Appointments are encouraged and โcan be scheduled by calling 0621 59097920 or emailing gesundheitfoerdern@rheinpfalzkreis.de.
