Juventus Appoints Luciano Spalletti as New Head โCoach
Turin,Italy – โฃJuventus has named Luciano Spalletti as its new head coach,the club announced today. The agreement with the 66-year-old Italian manager runs through the end of the currentโค season.
Spalletti takes the reins afterโฃ the departure of Croatian coach Igor tudor, who was released earlier โขthis week. He โคreturns to Juventus having previously managed theโฃ Italian โnational โteamโ for โless than two years,a stint that ended in June following a disappointing start to the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.
The appointment brings a proven winner to Turin. Spallettiโค led Napoli to their โฃfirst serie A title in 33 years in โ2023, and boastsโ a โdecorated career managing several prominent Italian clubsโข including Empoli, Sampdoria, Venezia, Udinese, Ancona, โASโ Roma, and Inter Milan. He also has experienceโฃ abroad, having managed Zenit St. Petersburg.
Throughout his career, Spalletti has โขsecured two italian Cup titles, the Italian Super Cup with Roma, and two Russian Championships with Zenit, along with a Russian โขCup and Russian Super Cup victory.
Juventus currently sits seventh in โฃSerie A with 15 points from nine games, โขtrailing league-leading Napoli by six points. Theโฃ clubโ also faces an uphill battle in theโข Champions League,currently โคranked 25th out of 36 teams after two draws and a lossโค inโฃ their opening three matches.
