Columbus, OH (October 28, 2025)-The Columbus Foundation today announced $500,000 โคin grants to 21โข central Ohio โnonprofit organizationsโฃ working to combat rising food insecurity. The funding aims to provide immediate supportโ to food pantries experiencingโค increased demand coupled with limited โฃresources.
The grants come at a critical time, as organizations report significantโฃ surges in the number of individuals andโ families seeking assistance. Concerns over โpotential changes to SNAP benefits are expected to further exacerbate the strain on โthe โฃregion’s emergency food system.
“This investment in food pantries throughoutโฃ our community is one way toโ support organizations โworking hard to meet an โurgent need โฃthatโ is growing rapidly by the day,” said Doug Kridler, President and CEO โขof The Columbus โฃFoundation.
