Don & Millie’s to Open New Omaha Location in Former Zio’s Pizzeria space
OMAHA, NE – Don & Millie’s, the popular Omaha-based Italian dining establishment, is expanding with a new location in west Omaha.The restaurant will occupy the space formerly home to Zio’s Pizzeria at 18060 Burke Street, according to a press release issued today.
Don & Millie’s, founded in 1956 by Don and Millie Anton, is known for its classic Italian-American cuisine and family-pleasant atmosphere. The original location remains at 5701 Underwood Avenue.
“We are thrilled to be bringing Don & Millie’s to more families in the Omaha area,” said owner Rick Anton,grandson of the founders. “We’ve been looking for the right location for a while, and this space on Burke Street is perfect.”
The former Zio’s Pizzeria location closed in February 2023 after 30 years in business. Don & Millie’s anticipates a late 2024 opening following renovations. The new location will feature a similar menu to the original, including their signature spaghetti and meatballs, and will offer both dine-in and carry-out options.
