Naples, italy – Plans for the 38th America’s Cup, scheduled for 2027, were unveiled today, promising a dramaticโ revitalization of the Bagnoli area and a fan experience unlike any โฃseenโฃ before in the competition’s โhistory. The event is expected to draw over one millionโฃ spectators, surpassing attendance at pre-regattas held in Naplesโข in 2012 and โ2013.
The vision includes a world-class technical facility for the AC75 yachts, a dedicated base for the AC40s, and a new superyacht marina, โคall centered in Bagnoli. These facilities โwill be complemented โคby public viewing areas, state-of-the-art media and broadcast centers, and the headquarters for America’s Cup Event organizers.
An “AC Tech โFan Village” willโฃ be established in Bagnoli, featuring interactive spaces, large jumbotron screens, and gastronomy and retail options. A โคnewโ extended stone breakwater will protectโข the marina and โคprovide close-up viewing โof racing in the Bay of Naples.
Further enhancing theโ fanโ experience, a Race Village willโฃ be constructed โalong the Viale Francesco Caraccioloโ seafront in downtown Naples, offering grandstand seating and a main stage for sailor and trophy โฃpresentations.
Grant Dalton described the Bayโค of Naples racecourseโข as “perfection,” signaling the event’s potential to become a pinnacle on the global sailing โคcalendar. The 2027 competition will also include the โขWomen’s & Youth America’s Cup regattas.
