Pilsen will host Zlín this weekend as new majority owner Michal Strnad begins his tenure with the club. The arrival of one of the Czech Republic’s wealthiest individuals comes after Viktoria lost 1-2 at Sparta and seeks to revitalize the team ahead of their European League match against Malmö.
The tenth round of Czech league play also saw Slavia defeat Dukla 2-0, Sparta win 3-0 in Ostrava, Bohemians draw 2-2 with Olomouc, Slovácko lose 1-2 to Karviná, and a 2-3 result between Hradec Králové and Liberec. Jablonec, having only dropped points against Sparta, Slavia, and Pilsen, faces a challenging match against Mladá Boleslav.
Elsewhere, the bottom two teams in the league will face off as the competition continues. Aleš Majer’s Jablonec, despite boasting twenty-two goals, will contend with Mladá Boleslav’s strong defense.
