Volleyball Star ran Takahashi Faces scandal Amidst Reports of relationship with adult Film Actress
Tokyo, Japan – Japanese volleyball athlete Ran Takahashi, known for his on-court performance and public image, is at the center of a burgeoning scandal following reports of a relationship with Saika Kawakita, an actress in the Japanese adult video industry (JAV). The allegations surfaced Wednesday, October 21st, in an investigative report by Bunshun Online.
The report details alleged meetings between Takahashi and Kawakita, beginning on September 3rd in tokyo’s Roppongi district, following a amiable match between Japan and Bulgaria. According to Bunshun Online, Takahashi reportedly bypassed returning to the team hotel and instead shared a private dinner and karaoke session with Kawakita, later staying with her at a luxury hotel.
A second alleged meeting occurred on September 30th, after an event in Osaka. The report claims Takahashi flew back to Tokyo and booked the same hotel for another night with Kawakita.
Adding to the complexity, Bunshun Online also reported that Takahashi was seen with Uka, a 26-year-old Instagram influencer who had previously been identified as his girlfriend, the night following the alleged encounter with Kawakita.
Takahashi initially denied any infidelity to local media, stating his relationships with both women were purely platonic. “Yes, I met Uka yesterday. We are just friends, nothing more.We went there with a group of friends, not alone,” he said. Regarding Kawakita, he described her as ”a friend and colleague,” and denied any romantic involvement, directing further inquiries to his agency.
Representatives for Takahashi, Uka, and Kawakita have all maintained that the relationships are purely friendships and requested privacy.
Amidst mounting public pressure, Takahashi issued an apology via X (formerly Twitter) on thursday, October 23rd, expressing regret for the “commotion” caused by media coverage of his personal life. He stated his focus would now be on the upcoming SV.LEAGUE 2025-26 season.
