TNI Report Against Ferry Irwandi Blocked โขby jakarta Police
Jakarta, Indonesia – Teh Jakarta Metropolitan Police declined to accept a report filed by theโ indonesian National Army (TNI) against Ferryโค Irwandi,โ CEOโ of Malacca Project, regarding alleged criminal โคacts and defamation, officials confirmed Monday. โขThe โTNI had sought โฃto fileโ a complaintโ based on findings from โits cyber patrols concerningโ content โขcreated by Irwandi.
The rejection stems from jurisdictional issues and questions surrounding the nature of the alleged offenses, accordingโฃ toโ sources within the Jakarta Police.โ While the TNI maintains it uncovered evidence โof criminalโ activity through its cyber monitoring, policeโ officials indicated the matter โfallsโค outside their โpurview and โคmay require further internal examination within the military justice โsystem. This growth halts, at leastโค temporarily, any โฃimmediate criminal proceedings โคagainst Irwandi. On September 8,โ 2025,โค a delegation from the TNI-including Brigadier General Juinta Omboh Sembiring (Danstsiber TNI), Major General Yusri Nuryanto (Danpuspom), Brigadier General (Mar) Freddy Ardianzah (TNI Head of Legal Affairs), and Rear Admiralโ Farid Ma’ruf (Kababinkumโฃ TNI)-visited โขMetro Jaya โPolice Headquarters to consult on the potential report.
“Our consultation was related to usโ finding the results of the cyber patrol, we found some facts of the alleged โcriminal acts committed by Brother Ferry โIrwandi,” Brigadier Generalโข Juinta Omboh sembiring told reporters at the time.
The TNI’sโค move followed public statementsโฃ made by Irwandi, where heโ reportedlyโ expressed defiance towards potentialโ legal action โคfrom aโ TNI General. the case highlights the complexโ relationship between civilian law enforcement and the military justice systemโ inโข Indonesia,โ particularly concerningโ online speech and alleged defamation. It remains unclear whetherโ the TNI โขwill pursue โคother avenues โฃto โaddress its concernsโค regarding Irwandi’s online activity.
