Oak Grove,โ KY – Jessica Reeve, 36, ofโ Oak โGrove, Kentucky, was arrested on Septemberโข 18th and is โคcurrently held at theโข Christian County โDetention Centerโข on a $15,000 bond, โฃfacing threeโ counts โof frist-degree wanton endangerment. The arrest stems from concerns raised about the living conditions within her apartmentโ and the well-beingโ of her three sons, ages 6 and โข10 (two sonsโ are 10 years old).
The inquiry began with a โcomplaint submitted tooโ the Kentuckyโค Department ofโฃ Community-Basedโค Services, which alerted authorities to potentially hazardous conditions inโ the Meadow Lane โapartment.A welfare agencyโ worker afterward contacted the Oak Grove Police Department, โleading to a visit โby officers.
Upon โentering the apartment, officers โwere met with a โขstrong โodor of โฃfeces and โขfound the residence heavily cluttered with clothes, โฃtrash, โคand โdebris,โข hindering their movement. โโค The source of โthe odor was quickly identified: feces smeared on โคthe walls and a bed. Reeve reportedly told โofficers her sons hadโ a habit of โsmearing โfeces on surfaces.
According to the criminal โcomplaint, the apartment lacked any cleanโฃ areas for theโค children to play, sit, or sleep. Reeve identified herself and her three sons asโ the apartment’s sole occupants.
This is โคnot โtheโ first time Reeve has faced โsimilar allegations. Previously, she was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment related to incidents involvingโ her children, including leaving one son home in unsafeโ conditions and allowing another son with autism โคto wander โonto a busy roadway.
