Father Suspected of Killing Daughter in Black Forest Town
Bollschweil, Germany – A 58-year-old man is under investigation after his daughter was found dead in their home Saturday, following a police intervention involving gunfire. Teh incident has deeply shaken the small community in the Black Forest region of Baden-Württemberg.
The tragedy unfolded after authorities received reports of a domestic disturbance at the family’s residence. Initial reports indicate the man had harmed his daughter, prompting a rapid police response. The situation escalated when the suspect refused to cooperate with officers, leading one to discharge a firearm through a window in an attempt to subdue him.
According to authorities, the man, a German citizen, was struck by the shot but managed to retreat further into the house. Upon entering the building, police discovered the man and the body of his daughter. Paramedics confirmed the girl’s death at the scene. The father was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.
the State Criminal Investigation Office (LKA) of Baden-Württemberg has launched a full investigation into both the police use of force and the circumstances surrounding the girl’s death. The mother and surviving son are receiving medical and psychological support.
Bollschweil’s mayor, Jörg Wagner, a former police officer himself, expressed shock at the event. He noted that neighbors had attempted to intervene before police arrived, highlighting the profound impact the tragedy has had on the close-knit community. “Everyone is asking how something like this could happen in our peaceful town,” Wagner said. He added that efforts are underway to provide housing for the mother and son if thay wish to relocate.
