LSU Basketball Stars Accuse Security of Inappropriate Touching during Florida Game
BATON ROUGE, LA – LSU women’s basketball stars Flau’jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams allege they were inappropriately touched by security personnel during Saturday’s game against Florida, sparking outrage and a wave of support from fans. The incident occurred as the Tigers secured a 20-10 victory over the Gators, a game highlighted by LSU’s dominant defensive performance, including five interceptions thrown by Florida quarterback DJ lagway.
The accusations surfaced on social media following the game. Johnson posted about the incident on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating she and Williams were “grabbed” and “touched inappropriately” by security while attempting to celebrate with teammates on the court. Williams echoed the sentiment, expressing her shock and disappointment.
The posts quickly gained traction, with fans voicing their support for the players and calling for accountability. “ah hell no…ol boy with the thin lips needs to be fired!” one fan wrote on X.Another fan added, “She got to the hole and she bumped me. Like, she bumped me, bumped me, and I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, she’s strong. A pure scorer,'” referencing a separate interview where Johnson described her first impression of Williams during a 2023 practice.

The game itself saw LSU improve to 3-0 on the season, largely due to a stellar defensive showing. Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier completed approximately 220 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Johnson and Williams are key players for the LSU basketball program. Williams, a freshman last season, averaged 14.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.2 steals in 34 games.She followed that up with an average of 17.3 points, 3.4 assists and 4.5 rebounds last season.
