A nationwide scavenger hunt launched Monday, hiding 50 immunity idols across all 50 U.S. States in anticipation of the February 25th premiere of Survivor’s 50th season on CBS and Paramount+, according to an announcement from Paramount.
The “Survivor 50 Challenge,” conceived and produced by experiential studio Tool, aims to replicate the core tenets of the reality television show – “Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast” – in a real-world setting. Participants are tasked with finding clues and solving riddles to locate the hidden idols within their respective states. The challenge began January 30th.
Jeff Probst, host and executive producer of Survivor, stated the challenge is designed to allow fans to “try it for themselves,” adding, “America has watched players outwit, outplay and outlast for decades — now it’s your turn.”
Fans can register for alerts and state-specific clues through the Survivor 50 Digital Hub at Survivor50Challenge.com. Participants who find an idol must submit a photograph of themselves wearing it through the digital hub to qualify for a grand prize sweepstakes. An additional winner will be selected through an online component, with details about the grand prize expected to be announced at a later date.
Survivor is celebrating a milestone with its 50th season, promising “unparalleled gameplay” as contestants compete for the title of Sole Survivor and a $1 million prize. The show, a pioneer in the reality television genre, is hosted by five-time Emmy winner Jeff Probst.
Ongoing announcements and celebrations for the 50th season are being shared on social media platforms including X (@survivorCBS), Instagram and Threads (@survivorCBS), Facebook (@survivor), and TikTok (@CBSsurvivor).
