Jacob Elordi Reveals Strict Script Secrecy for ‘Euphoria‘ Season 3
Jacob Elordi, who plays Nate Jacobs in teh HBO drama euphoria, has revealed he’s only been given access to his character’s scenes for the upcoming third season, citing an unprecedented level of script security. The actor compared the experience to reviewing the highly classified “JFK files,” indicating creator Sam levinson is taking extreme measures to prevent spoilers.
The secrecy surrounding Euphoria Season 3 comes after a more than three-year production delay, fueled by speculation about the show’s future. With production officially underway since Febuary 2025, the limited script access suggests Levinson is persistent to maintain narrative control and surprise viewers. The new season is set to feature a time jump, moving the characters into adulthood, marking a significant evolution for the series.
Elordi discussed the unusual process during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, stating, “I only know my part in the season, because the whole thing is like the JFK files. It’s all redacted. You can’t read the real script.” He also teased a cryptic line from the season, “For mine, I think a good phrase, I guess, for my season is ‘white fritillaries.’ Do with that what you will. Get your tongue around it,” admitting he himself doesn’t know its meaning. Fallon noted the phrase is a type of flower.
The extended wait for Season 3 followed the Season 2 finale nearly three years prior, prompting concerns the show might be canceled. The show’s return promises a new chapter for the characters, as they navigate life beyond high school.
